Yes sports, most people I know and hang around with also love sports and this love started most times at childhood. Now, I am not so much into it other than running to stay fit and a little pickup soccer and softball cricket. Apart from that I do not watch too much of the teams that I used to like, as a matter of fact the only time I would sit in from of the TV would be for major tournaments like the world cup (soccer) and the Olympics. At a younger age I always found time to be in front of the TV for most of the teams I like and would even venture out to the park to see them live. You see I begin to realize that I expected my team to win no matter what and if they did not I would be so depressed that sometimes appetite for food or anything else would be gone. Then I started not paying attention to these games and teams because I did not want to feel this, it was not a pleasant feeling and I allowed my emotions to get the better of me. The sad thing is I know quite a few people with this problem and they would argue their point even if their team is on the losing end. Tragic is it not? I started to read about it the day after and the results affected me less, yes this I could handle. Now I don’t care who wins or lost to me it is just a game and as a spectator it should be fun and a good sport don’t matter who wins or loses. I guess this type of thinking comes with one’s maturity. I enjoy it better now.
