De-stress

Between full time school and full time work life can get a bit stressful both mentally and physically and if one don’t take the necessary steps (especially in the early stages) to eliminate this, the level can increase to the point where you would not only fail, but be burnt out and then your energy level would drop. You are now at the risk of harming your system. You get the picture because after that the body is much more prone to sicknesses and diseases. I find myself in the situation, and with school, work and assignments there is practically no time for recreation. We all know the saying that “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” well in this case the name Jack represents all of us who are in this boat. To counter this I would occasionally try to do something that I think would be fun which, would take my mind away from everything else and help me relax. This to me is medicine for the mind body and soul. For instance after class on a Saturday I would just call anyone I am close to and drive to maybe Boston for the remainder for the weekend and just have plain old fun within the lawJ. You see I love driving especially if it is within six hours, I can have conversation, laughter (best medicine) and catch up on old times during the journey (driving), not to mention listening to my favorite music. At this time you do not even think about work, school and assignments. This is the ideal medicine for de-stressing one’s mind. I hope you noticed that I am not even at my destination as yet, and there is another one of my friends who I have not seen for a very long time. We all get the picture therefore if you are under some sought of stress you can do things in the company of people you enjoy and most likely it will help you tremendously. Try it you might be in for a very pleasant surprise.
